Growing up, Karen Kekelik's father advised her to become a lawyer. Her father saw the same drive, intellect, and passion that his father, James E. Lomeo, had during his law career. Today, the same chairs that lined her grandfather's law office are now in Karen's own office.
Karen's sharp mind and youth play to her advantage as a lawyer and she is passionate about using her talents to serve others. She holds a degree from Valparaiso University Law School and passed the Indiana State Bar on her first attempt. With experience in worker's compensation, family law, public defense, and wills and estates. Karen is proud to own Kekelik LLC. and to be a member of the Women's Lawyer Association, Lake County Bar Association, and Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce.
Karen is a devoted wife and mother who travels every chance she gets. She also enjoys running with her two rescued dogs, Luna and Stella. As an avid runner, Karen has thousands of miles under her shoes and has participated in countless marathons, half-marathons, and races. Above everything, family is most important. Karen spends most of her free time creating memories with her husband and 6-year-old daughter. Karen thinks a lot about her grandfather and although he didn't live to see Karen follow in his footsteps, she believes he is looking down on her and proud of who she became.
Karen is passionate about helping others. In fact, she chose law as a profession to assist people in need. She gives back by hosting “Free Info Fridays” on Facebook and YouTube to provide the public with valuable legal information. She knows that when people seek her, response time is important. As a result, Karen answers all messages soon as possible.
